Supercritical Hemp Oil VS Ethanol Extracted Hemp Oil
Proper Dose Labs manufactures phytocannabinoid based Hemp oil by using two separate processes.
- The first process uses supercritical CO2 to produce an extract that is rich in cannabidiol, phytocannabinoids, and terpenes. This extract further goes through the process of winterization in ethanol, where it goes through solvent removal with the help of vacuum distillation. Once the waxes, THC, and chlorophyll are removed, the final products turn out to be a PCR hemp oil with 70-90% CBD and minor terpenes.
- The second extraction process uses ethanol for extraction. After the extraction, the same process of purification as the first one is followed. It helps remove chlorophyll, waxes, and THC. The only difference between these processes is that the first step of extraction uses different solvents.
No matter which process is followed, the critical attributes of the oil remain the same. Since the extract undergoes the same process of purification, the resulting hemp oil remains comparable from the two approaches.
Proper Dose Labs uses both types of oils to fulfill different orders. Since they are comparable, they can be used interchangeably. The resulting product possesses the same quality and consistency.
